It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

FOLDERS GUIDE
  • Featured: :lock:
  • The Demolition Duo:  Jak and Daxter TOGETHER. ONLY. "Yaoi" is ok in here too.
  • The Inner Balance: Dark Jak and Light Jak (shipping/pairing is ok in here too). No Dark Daxter please.
  • Babes: The femme fatales of Jak and Daxter. Yes, Onin is allowed in here too.
  • Studs: The badass men and hot studs of Jak and Daxter. Yes, Krew is allowed in here too.
  • Couples: All couples, platonic or romantic. It just means more than one.
  • Fan Fiction: Text-based literature fan fiction only.
  • Comics: Fan comics. if it is a full-length series, please only submit the cover and up to 3 pages.
  • Creatures: Flut-fluts, Leaper Lizards, Ottsels, Metal Heads and Darkmakers etc.
  • Alternate Universe: Crossovers, Gender-bending, AU, Playstation Move Heroes, etc.
  • Cosplay: Because cosplay is awesome, this folder exists.
  • Sketches and Doodles: Unfinished art, sketches, doodles, WIPs, etc. ONLY
  • Crafts: Only available because a few people have asked.
  • Anything Goes: self-explanatory.


What are the rules again?
  • Submit your art into the right category.
  • No fan characters (OCs).
  • No official art edits.
  • Don't be a dick.


Please elaborate?
No fan characters. Sorry, but we're only looking for art of the 'canon' characters for Jak and Daxter's universe (except for the AU folder). However, our affiliate the #JakandDaxter-OC-Club may accept them.

No official art edits. That means no art that's either a screenshot from the game or concept art of the game. We want original, new, hand-drawn/crafted pieces, not stuff directly taken from the games!*


*Stamps are ok, but motivational posters are not, nor frankenbasing or tracing over the art. As long as the pic does not completely revolve around any unedited screenshots from the game it's fine.


What mediums are allowed again?
All mediums are allowed in every category, be it cosplay, comics, handicrafts or animation. HOWEVER, Fan Fiction is a literature-only category. This means we should not see ANY pictures in this folder, only text-based submissions. Category-specific categories like cosplay are available because some people want to see only that specific category. You do not have to put it there if you don't want to.
